Casio CG50 & fx911EX Emulator

In this passage, you will learn how to set up a cg50 emulator which is identical to the CG50 graphical calculator which you can use from your GCSE and A Level exams. (According to Pearson policy posted from 2022)


First according to your environment, please download either the mac version or windows version of the emulator by pressing the blue underlined text. Please download the "fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG50 series" if you would like to use the cg50 calculator.

Then proceed to this website or here to obtain an activation code by typing in your email address, make sure you are getting the "Standalone License" instead of "Network Licences". An example of the verification code would be "f51ac-d938f-a44fa-aafe4-6dd11-xxxxxxx" where the last 7 digit is censored due to privacy issue. 

*Reminder, if you are using the second link to register and require a school name, please use "Casio UK" as the school name.

*Please be noted that you would require a domain email to register (does not end with @gmail.com or @yahoo.com but instead for example ian@ianlam.dpdns.org) If you need assistance, please use temp email or email casio@igchkshop.dpdns.org for further assistance.

Then open the downloaded application from step one and type in the license code for the top choice.

If any error occurs, please wait for 1 day and retry the activation code, sometimes it might take a while to update the system.
You will get a loading page like this when you have successfully entered your activation code.


In case you would like a scientific calculator (most people like fx 911 ex), please follow the following step to activate a webpage version.

First proceed to casio classpad and register an account, then proceed to this link to obtain an verification code, the code should be in the format "5O5OXXXXX". Similar to the above, if you need to enter a school name, please use "Casio UK".


After logging in, proceed to this page and on the left hand column, click on your licence and choose if you have license, click here.

After activation, proceed to tools and classpad maths, and click on calculator emulator, choose your model (fx-570/911EX). Enjoy!

What are the differences between the two? UMS stands for Uniform Mark Scale; unlike GCSE or IGCSE, UMS is a “virtual mark” that is used to standardize exams from different exam boards. Raw marks would literally be the marks you get in your exam; maybe a 78/80, your raw mark would always be 78. So how is UMS calculated?
